To Really Know Him is to Follow Him

"The man who says, 'I know him,' but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in him." (I John 2:4)

Growing in the knowledge of God is growing in the knowledge of the Master of the universe and of our hearts. God is not an astronomical phenomenon to be observed through a telescope. He is not a
philosophical concept to be studied. God is King. To know Him is to
follow Him.

We simply can't follow God without learning His ways and submitting to them. God the Spirit motivates us to follow the Father, persistently encouraging us to do as the Bible says. God the Son died so we wouldn't be condemned when we fail the Father, and He intercedes on our behalf.

If you know God, you know His way is the best way. Out of gratitude for the sacrifice Jesus made on the cross for us and out of respect for the Spirit's leading, we should always strive to obey God's commands.
