Hey, I am doing this as a back up, I have begun building my site and decided to back up my reviews here and on my desktop. two places is better than the one. So yeah. Enjoy or don't.
Slackers (29 MacArthur Drive)
I have included some basic information about Slackers and my personal review is to the right.
• Karaoke every night starting at 8pm
•DJ songs played for all the dancers
•All music played from computer
•Great sound system including monitor speakers
•Over 11,000 different karaoke songs
•Covers all genres of music
•75 cent pool tables
•Tabletop games
• Open Wed thru Sat 7pm - 3 am
No Cover Charge
Must be 21 to enter

Bartender-Clayton (he was my favorite there are others)
Bouncer-Michael. He just rocks.
The first time I went, a friend suggested it was a fun friendly and small karaoke bar. So, why not. Me and my friends walk in the door, right away we are greeted by the bouncer, I don't remember his name. But he gives us some awesome gifts. Apparently, it's Captain Morgan night! So wrist bands and some beads showing off the Captain. Shot Special for the night, I believe it was $2/shot for the Captain. Good deal!
Making our way into this crowded smokey bar, I start thinking....what am I doing here? But before I have time to talk myself out of staying, the bartender comes up and asks me what I want to drink. I order, double shot straight up. Brings it right away, I'm impressed. As the night gets going, Karaoke kicks off!
Some of these people have talent! and well, some are just having fun. But, the great thing is everyone is friendly, supportive, and encouraging. No assholes. Just a good time, and there is REALLY a HUGE selection of songs. Everything from pop to rock, country to metal, indy to hip hop. Something for everyone. Occasionally the Karaoke DJ takes a "dance break" as he calls it .
A lot of the hip hop music that's in, some good 80s rock. It's a good mix, and the dance floor is small, but, we hit the dance floor anyways. Mirrors surrounding us, easy to get caught up in the moment of dancing. Everyone who works there and all the "regulars" are so much fun. You WANT to sign your name on their walls....or roof, so go ahead. They have a sharpie, stand on the bar and sign your name "I was here" and there it is.
Every weekend there seems to be some drink special. The next weekend I went was Tequila, and people were walking around handing out sample mixed drinks. Amazing. Best part is, walking out the door, help yourself to some free condoms. SAFE SEX! This bar has more to it than you think! I give this bar 4.5 Shots out of 5!!! Great way to start!!
