Angel

There was this angel who fell from the sky
I saw him falling from far up high
I noticed his wings, torn and broken
His halo, gone, probably stolen
I saw the light fading, his wings crumbling
He's falling but, I can't help staring
just staring...

I couldn't understand what was in front of me
It looked too crazy just to see a fallen angel smiling at me

 

So he walked up to me

And I took a step back

As the distance closed in

He's hair's turning black

He stopped midway

And guess what he had to say

"You saw it yourself--

I fell from the sky for you"

And he paused, took a breath,

"That's how I love you"
