Thanks for writing - I almost never check the site but happened to come today to do a little tweak to the site (more in a bit). Yes, I started Boltagain - and I was one of the investors who acquired the original Bolt.com assets out of bankruptcy in early 2008. Subsequently we relaunched the Bolt and promptly realized it wasn't a viable business - and sadly had to shut it down. Before the end I started BoltAgain and I pay for it's operation every month as a thank you to all its fans, and as an apology for failing to bring them the network they loved when I had a chance in 2008. Apart from paying the bills, I maintain almost no presence on the site. I originally asked the first few administrators to be considerate of the entire community and aim toward democratic management. I hope they succeeded! All I can tell is that they have maintained a very loyal and active role managing Bolt.com as volunteers for almost three full years. For their dedication and effort – I hope the entire community is grateful.

1. Boltagain began on the date I became a member March 2, 2009.

2. We switched to this address after we could no longer afford to keep it at Bolt.com (the domain name is valuable and maintaining rent at that address was too costly).

3. Boltagain was mentioned prior to the domain switch so that as many people as possible knew the new address. Also, for a period of months before we lost the domain "bolt.com," I forwarded all Bolt.com visits to Boltagain.ning.com so that people would be familiar with the address in their browsers.

4. I am sure there are lots of good trivia about the site. One piece of new trivia is that as of today, the site has a new home that will hopefully last forever (as long as I can afford to pay). It is now very comfortable at bolt3.com!
