Cyber Bullies - What would you do?

I was gonna rewrite about the blog that I started that mysteriously disappeared on me, but I think I would rather talk about something that happens all to often on many different sites.

I'm not young so I can handle my own, but within the same week that I joined this site I was faced with what I would call cyber bullying.  This isn't the first time someone has tried this child like behavior with me and I'm sure it won't be the last.

I remember growing up without all these social networks where people can hide behind a keyboard and monitor and basically threaten and try to belittle people.  Back in my day you would have to either talk behind their back or face to face, both would usually end up in a beaten either by yourself or a older brother :)  Now adays that person talking crap is on the other side of the world, so they are much braver!

  I've compiled a few help links for online safety and some help for those of us who have to face these overgrown children and little teens that need more time to "hopefully" grow up.

  If you have any of your own feel free to add them.  I would also like to hear your opinion on this subject, voice your opinion.  And for the ones who hide behind those keyboards, you can feel free to try to scare us here to if you want, not that we are really listening, but hey it's a free world.

By the way, just because your profile info says your from New York doesn't really mean they aren't your next door neighbour!  No I really live in Ohio, but I can't say that everyone on this net tells the truth, Just something to keep in mind the next time you want to talk shit!

Tips:

1.) Just don't respond (very hard to do) - Bullies need someone to acknowledge them so they can feel good.  If you don't respond then it's very hard for them to bully you and get that satisfaction they are after.

2.) Report the loser!  If the website doesn't do anything about it, then move on to a better site that actually penalises the idiots!

Hey "9", there's no fire here, I could give a crap about his pathetic attempt to start a word war.  I made this blog because it affects how a website is run and how people really are.  I also made this blog because I believe everyone should blog about their own experiences and how they deal with them and how to deal with bullies so they don't become depressed and leave just because some people live in a world that revolves around bullying people for their own perverted pleasure!

So not to worry, I don't plan on playing child games today

Amazingly I mentioned NO persons names, but the first dumb shit to answer is the biggest piece of shit on this site! A simple query in Google with his user name will show the real him! Funny thing is, if you go back to when he first came on the website he was actually helpful and left nice little smiley faces :) for people, then somewhere down the line he decided to be a total ass, go figure.
I agree with you Bradley. I personally could give two shits what people say to me, I can hold my own, but there are some people who can't and these are the people the cowards like to prey on. I feel for the weak at heart and can't stand it when people try to put them down. I'm the type who would jump in when a homeless person is getting beat up or atleast get them some help (i'm not that big, but i do know how to use a weapon and won't hesitate either).
Anyways if I'm around and see a "bully" preying, you best believe I will add my opinions quickly! I loath predators!

who really cares about cyber bullies. If people take that shit to heart then let them, but really they are the losers, the cowards. They need to bully people online because in real life they are pathetic lonely people who need to bully people online because they get it in real life.
