yeah its crazy how much this site has changed. some of its good some of its realy shitty. they need to go back to bolt and just revamp the programing code.

I miss the original bolt with all those badges and games. I remember tricking BOlt into getting one of those badges based on feminine hygiene products. They asked for an embarassing moment involving "periods", so I made up a generic story. I got the badge. lol

1st joined in..... god I have no idea. late I think in 2003 or 2004.

Uncontrolled interaction on a massive scale. People used to expose their private lives totally in a kind of reaction to the sheer freedom. We all had a lot of fun and miss it much. I chatted to genuinely nice human beings and also met freaks who scared the crud out of me!

I really miss the badges and the silly games. It was kinda "facebook-light" (or myspace-light) I still wish I could have those Bolt badges back! They were a form of bragging.

The original Bolt started sometime around 1996. I joined as a freshman in HS in that year, and it was very, very small.

For the most part I loathed the badge thing, excepting the fact that I trumped most people in membership-year badges.

I didn't learn about it until maybe '98. Can't remember which concert I went to but the swag was an inflatable Bolt beach ball. A couple days later I checked it out and got my friend into it. Gosh, we stayed active 'till about 2001, chatting in N*SYNC chat rooms ^_^ heh, we had so much fun

I don't remember when i joined. i think it was 98. my wife and i accidentally met on bolt, so it's always been kind of special to us.

I loved the badges you could earn by joining groups, writing something, etc. I once was able to get a badge from a feminine hygiene product. I was to write about my first period, so I wrote a generic "I was wearing white pants..." story, and they fell for it! I think I was only man with that badge!
