Ok, this is my first time posting anything and i haven't really let people read my stuff, but here it is....


My safety net has been pulled away
Leaving me here to fall
There is nothing I can do to stop
And no one to hear me call

I’m falling through a black, black void
Trying to catch my breath
Knowing if I hit the bottom
It would mean certain death

The many faces of my family
Are the only lights I see
They pass by in such a blur --
The comfort is fleeting

Getting weak from the struggle
Tired from the fight
Being tempted to cross over
And live in the night

The devil’s calling to me
I hear it clear as day
Joining with him would be easy
But is it a price I’m willing to pay?

The darkness seems so welcoming
A safe place to go and hide
If I’m willing to give in
And swallow all my pride

To escape into the emptiness
Conceal me from their eyes
Smother me in nothingness
Protect me from their lies
