Hey guys,
I agree with you both I have faced hate crimes all my life. I once had a neighbor who was transgender and he was beaten up cause of it. I didn't think of it at the time because I was taught to call him Daisy you know. And when he was a "guy" he was Pat. But not that I'm older I really look back on life and see it was really bad growing up but I'm glad when I came out in the early turn of the century it was easier. Even being out there is something I have a hard time understanding like transgenerism. I don't hate the people I just don't understand it. As I get older I hope I can understand all and accept all people for who they are.
Over the past couple years I have been to a youth minority conference called True Colors its amazing to see. It really has opened my eyes to everything. I wish everyone had a conference like this no matter where they lived. I also wish people to stop using hate words like gay, dyke, fag, retard, you know the names I'm talking about. It takes one person to make a change and of other people see you not using that word to describe someone they to will stop saying it. So my goal for everyone is to stop using these words just one day, then maybe a week, then challenge yourself to a month. You might be surprise the effect you have on other people.
to me being gay is not something to be proud of but just looked at like any other race or I don't know how to say sexuality without it being some sort of argument but I guess arguments can be good because sometimes the truth comes out I guess
To me this is just like the civil rights movement........that is all we are after is out civil rights as Americans. We want to be created equal not matter what our race, gender, or sexual orientation is. What is so disheartening is the fact......we are able to be given every other right with in our Constitution, but the right to Civil Marriage. What the American ppl need to kno is Civil marriage is not a religious sacrament, and American citizens must learn to recognize the difference. All we really want is the right to a civil marriage. Which makes the marriage legal as far as the government is concerned. We are not asking any church or religious organization to recognize same-sex marriage. Under the law every church and religious organization is free to forbid or encourage religious marriage of same-sex couples, no government action can stop them from doing so. The question that needs to be asked is........Why is the Government denying same-sex Civil Marriages........When our government's role is to guarantee the freedom and equality of every citizen under the law. So when will we have that same equality as citizens of this country?
I have known since the age of 16 that I was bisexual. 7 months ago I just came out about my sexuality. Any advice on wheather telling my family if coming out to them is the right thing to do or not.
hi all well my name is roxanne and i've been a lesbian for about 9 years it was easy for me to tell everyone i knew because i was always dressing like a boy and still is...ppl always knew that i was before i had tell them... looking for the right woman to settle down with now i'm 23 so if anyone wanna chat my email address is rocky_ann_666@hotmail.com.
Hey everyone. I was on bolt like 5 years ago, so I couldn't tell you what I went by back then. I was on hiatus for quite a while. Anyway, I'm bisexual. Here to support the group and maybe find a nice girl to chill with :)
Hey! I'm like Ashley and was on five years ago (met my stalker from Tennessee on here!) Now I'm grown up, sorta, and I'm bisexual. I've been to one GSA meeting and it was awesome! I even got a t-shirt! So, yeah... Bye :D
I am a 16 year old Bisexual woman. I believe that people who are gay should not be treated different, it is a good thing that we can see the beauty in everyone! I am in love with a guy, and I have dated guy and girls both. I dont see how people can hate that, its completely normal and i am fed up with that shit...
i am seventeen and bisexual and every time i tell my friends that i'm by sexual they give me weird looks, especially the guy's, as if its wrong that i'm attracted to both sexes. im bisexual and im proud to be. no one should have to hide there sexuality because there afraid of being ridiculed. my friend shouldn't have to be afraid of how there parents will react if they Knew! my own father didn't believe me when i told him, he said it was just a faze, he made me so mad. no one should be afraid to be who they are, you should proud of you sexuality and if somebody sneers at you and calls you names, just walk away, 'cause if there cowardly enough to do that then lower than dirt in my opinion.
i envy you my girlfriend doesn't go to the same school, if she did i would totally kiss her in front of Mr danels(?) just to watch him have a conniption fit. XD
I'm Lindsay, I'm seventeen, I have been out to my really close friends for three years. It didn't even phase half of them. They all told me that I was still me no matter what my sexual preference. I told my parents a year ago that I am bisexual. My mom and dad said that it did not really bug them. They have many gay and lesbian friends and family members. However, my grandmother is very religious and believes that it is a sin and everyone will go too Hell. I told her in November that I am bisexual, and she told me that she was very disappointed in me, but that at the end of the day I was still her granddaughter, and even though she implied she was okay with it, we were all together for Thanksgiving and I revealed that I had a girlfriend and she flipped, and stopped talking to me until recently. This hurt quite a bit because I'm still her granddaughter, I'm no different than I was before. My ex girlfriend and I used to walk around school holding hands and kissing and public and a lot of times parents would pull their kids closer to them, or look at us like we each of us was an abomination. I don't see the big fuss over gays, lesbians, and bisexuals, if you skinned every last person on earth, we would all look the same underneath, no matter what our sexual preference is.
Hey, I'm Candace. I'm bisexual. But I date more guys than girls. I was completely in love with one girl and even to this day i can still proudly admit that i love her... She's the only girl that i've ever wanted to be with.. And maybe one day she'll come around..
I support gay rights, because love is love.. why does it matter who you fall in love with?
cool group. not to be a smartass, but shouldn't it be "straight"? "strait" is a body of water. lol. anyway, I am a gay male with a partner of almost 10 years. Iowa allows gay marriage, so why not the rest of the world?
I hate lumping religion into gay life. Think about it, Jesus was personified as having long hair, wearing robes and sandals, and hanging around with other men. Ever seen pics of him with female groupies? Sounds a bit gay to me! lol
Your view might be a bit skewed. After all, Jewish men must marry by a certain age, and Jesus never made any moves toward marrying...at least that is what modern Christianity informs us.
Jesus was Jewish, and I'm sure you've heard of the stories about Mary Magdalene.
Jesus was not gay. He was not even divine. He was merely a human man who fell in love with a woman.
The greatest thing about having power is that you can create your own story and hide that which you do not want to be released. Christianity had power at that time.
well, wolfenstorm, you have your opinion, I have mine. That is why I avoid religion and politics like the plague. Those 2 subjects are the causes for most wars. I think religion should not be so powerful. Make it just as important as whether you decide to be a vegan or a meat-eater. Blessed are the pie makers, for they shall make light pastry.
Hello everyone, happy thanksgiving. I just re-joined bolt since it's demise a couple years ago. myself? i'm VERY bisexual. it's wrong to judge against gender. you are born bisexual, discrimination is a CHOICE. Anyways, i'm up for making new friends. Anyways, yes Jesus is divine and there were thousands of witnesses to his love. i'm a bisexual catholic teddybear and also very loving. have a good day.
