Unsuspected Pregnancy in a Relationship

If you and your partner (or hypothetical partner, if you are single) were faced with a unplanned pregnancy, how would you deal with it? Would you be able to afford having a child in this time in your life? Do you think your partner would be suitable as a parent?

BONUS QUESTION: How soon or when do you talk about the hypothetical situation of an unwanted pregnancy with your partner?

I think a lot of factors would play a role. I wouldn't be financially ready for a child now but it depends on my partner - how stable and supportive they'd be of me having their child, how much we love and/or care about each other, having family and friends who'd be supportive of me in the process. I'd be more inclined to get an abortion if I didn't love the guy, he had no stability, I wasn't ready, etc.

How soon do I bring this topic up? Like NEVER.. until I suspect I could be pregnant or immediately after the possibility of getting pregnant exists. We have the pre-conversation about birth control methods and condoms BEFORE hand so as to prevent this conversation from having to occur. :P

I could afford, and could do it. I think she wouldn't think so, but she'd make a great mom.
I wouldn't want a child right now by choice, and I really don't know how exactly we'd handle it if it happened. One of those... has to exist to be resolved situations.

I don't think it's ever been for me (or should be) a planned "talk". In my past, and as I think it should be, it inevitably comes up on it's own. People seem to be quiet outspoken about it.

I can't afford a child now and that is why I don't have sex to begin with. With that being said, if I were in this situation, I would put the baby up for adoption. If he didn't want the baby, and I couldn't give he/she the best care they deserve then there is someone out there who could. I would never choose abortion. Abortion is selfish and murder. The baby didn't choose to be be conceived and I know too many people who have always wanted to be parents and for whatever reason couldn't conceive.
