When I did drink I was always a fun and happy drunk. Very talkative (this annoys people like my ex-wife), but also impossible to upset in any way. I've had guys punch me in the face for talking to their girlfriends (not even flirting, just fucking talking) and I've hugged them and asked if they were okay before buying us both a round. Oh yeah, I spend money like crazy on people when I'm drunk.
That first sentence sounds like an alcoholic that has convinced himself he is something he is not. lol I have never been much of a drinker, and my quitting was just waking up one day and not liking alcohol. The taste, the feel, etc. That was about 6 months ago.
Fairly talkative, willing to get involved in in-depth discussions about things that I'd normally not care to discuss sober. Flirtatious. Fun. I'm generally in control unless I start mixing drinks at which point the liquor starts to decide what happens. I know when I'm drunk and I'm never oblivious to the fact that I'm drunk, which helps me stay in control. I'd say pretty fun overall.
