Though I did not see it in the theater because it only had a limited release and didn't play near me, God Bless America (written and directed by Bobcat Goldthwait) is my favorite film from summer 2012. I've watched it on home video five times already. It's a dark satire about the decline of American culture. The plot follows an office drone who loses his job, gets diagnosed with brain cancer, and opts to travel the country murdering people he finds repellant.
