Social Networking and why it doesn't work for me

I am what you call "socially awkward" meaning I have a pretty sheltered life and have no idea how to make friends online or offline being shy doesn't help either... I guess what I wanted to know is there anyone else out there like me? Or am I fighting this all by my lonesome... = /

    im kinda the same. i had friends on myspace but i deleted my account (long story). so i tried bolt and seems like nothing happens.
