i used to mess with model train's, i made a steel mill out of pringle's can's and shampoo bottle's, ill post it pic's one day. i never got rid of my model r.r. stuff these video's make me want to break it out again. but very time consuming.
i like this last one. very nice modeling, even sound effect's. they look so realistic.
ok finally found some of my model rr pics. this first one was about 10 yrs ago? i made a rr on a broken pool table :) since i was poor i made most of the building's an roads from cardboard and scrap material's
a bridge and trestles i made, all cardboard/glue/paint
a cool little junkyard i made. when my lil cousins came over they wanted to see the trains. i would delibratly run 2 trains 2 fast eventully a big derailment the kids loved that lol! it didnt hurt the trains. i did forget one time i had 5 coal hoppers with actuall loads. they derailed and i had a nice mess to clean. and yes i the tutonic train technition had a locomotive fly off the table and i screamed as it smashed to many peice's on that cold and very deadly basement floor lol! that video above cracked me up.
in the pic below on the left you can see alittle of the steel mill i made from pringles cans and shampoo bottles and i think some bendable straws
haha this pic below was the corner of the table i lost a locomotive too as you see i put guards up after that. and all the houses and buildings are cardboard made by me. just need cardboard a good ruler an excato knife and glue.
ok the pics above are older layout pics from a dismantaled layout. the pics below are from the newr last layout i built. it to is now dismantled as i moved and no longer have time for. ok the pic below the house in the middle i duplicated from memory from a childhood house we once lived in. alot of the houses/buildings are from places i seen growing up.
as you can see i aquired better locomotives and freight cars since the older layout. the hobby shop trains are the most realistic. those walmart/ k mart train sets are junk/ barely work non realistic looking. ok heres the first locomotives i painted and decaled myself. and my artistic side grew as you see i painted some of the freight cars to look rusty and weathered as the prototypes do.
ah yes a tutonic train/boxcar blitz moment. lol i actully staged it. just stacked them and took pics :))
now they just sit in boxes put away. i miss runnin them. next time i build one it shalt be 7 tables large ;))
