Thoughts on my blogs and other reviewers.

So, I have been puting up info and review blogs on games. Looking back, I am finding that I have made some grammer errors. Some thanks for people not picking at me for making such errors. Also thanks for not pointing out my obvious fanboyisms when I first did the blog on Fate/unlimited codes. Then I begin to ask myself, "is anyone even reading these?" While it's nice to not be flamed, it's a shame I'm not being criticised for errors I should not have made. Though, I shouldn't be too concerned, seeing how the subject is about video games. Not everyone is a gamer or have an interest in gaming. There is also the fact that I'm not active at all on Bolt and noone really knows or expects anything from me. Well, atleast not here anyways. Lately, I haven't been much active with anything. Should that really be a concern? No. I'm just leaving info out there for people to grab and read if they want. The only reason I'm doing these blogs is because I find most of today's game reviews to be lacking and not helpful. I feel that they tend to forget alot of needed info and only stick to those who's mindsets match their own. I recall something that a youtube vlogger mentioned. He saw a game that was on both Nintendo DS and Playstation Portable. Despite the game being practically the same on both handhelds, everyone on a game site, guests and reviewers alike, voted the PSP version as very poor and the DS version as only below par. Oddly enough, anything Nintendo was considered practically gold on that very same sight. That's not reviewing or rating. That's being absolutely biased. Maybe a harsh thing to say, but I don't see why games that are the same, controls and all, should be considered worst if it's not on your prefered system. Another thing I don't like is how alot of reviewers use some sort of ratings system to help describe a game. I've done away with it. I find that the ratings don't reflect the game, but often reflect the taste of the reviewer. Honestly, I've tried out perfect 10 games and often thought how bored I was playing it. Likewise, I found myself enjoying, as some call it, "piss poor" games. That's not to say I didn't like high rated games, as one of my prefered games is Shadow of the Colossus. Often, a reviewer will find a game they don't like and classify it as crap. As I see it, a reviewer should be less biased. Especially when the ratings are actually supposed to mean something. Now, this is not to bash on all other reviewers. I've read some reviews that were actual game reviews and not some over glorified opinion piece. I won't say which, because of how some gaming fans sometimes act. As for me, I'll continue to do what I do. I'll probably do older games as well, seeing how some people who are new to gaming actually want to play the older games. I don't care if I get very little attention. I'm just providing information on a game someone may just be interested in. All that's important is that they are getting the info they are looking for.
