You know its something that is interesting, I have seen places that people have said are haunted and well...yes, I was spooked and it looked scary. It isn't something I can easily say is strange.
When I was little, I was always going to my grandmother in Oklahoma's house and well...it was usually not so bad with my grandfather around. Well...when I was around six or seven, hard to say, I would share a room with my sister and grandmother, I came out one night to the bathroom. I went into the hall, there was a night light there and it could shine into the living room, and you could see my grandfather's ugly as hell orange bark-a-lounger, but that night, I couldn't see it at all. That was odd, but I saw a strange black mass in front of the hall, I thought nothing of it, but I suddenly felt a pressure around my ears, like they were trying to pop, but couldn't. I was yawning, then I felt strange.
So here I was standing in a hall, my ears plugged up, and it felt strange to look, but again, thinking nothing on it, I went into the bathroom. I just couldn't get my ears to pop, so I tried to qtips, and my grandfather came in asking if I was okay. He was worried and somehow just as he entered my ears popped. I went back to bed and wondering what the hell.
A few years latter, my family went up to my grandparent when my dad killed the Christmas tree. I was sort of ill during that time and well...I woke up, I was sleeping in the living room. I was went into the kitchen, and I saw my father and grandmother at the table. I was sort of just looking around, and then I saw it...it was a person, at least I thought it was, but what I saw was rather scary looking if you ask me. I was fifteen or sixteen, still having some imagination to work with, and sort of thought it was. Standing behind my grandmother was a boy, at least I thought it, he was around the same age, but his clothes were a little off. Brown slacks and white shirt, I guess, not sure, but when he turned to look at me, I didn't see a face, but a pit with red eyes.
When this happened, my father told me all the color went from my face, and went back to my bed. It really felt like I was dreaming, I didn't know the difference really, and I was cramping something aweful. At first I thought maybe my cramps were causing the problem and being ill or something.
By the time 2006-2007, my sister moved to Oklahoma to help move my grandmother to a nursing home, she was staying in my grandmother's house. She had no prior knowledge of what I saw or felt, in fact I never thought much on it until she called me freaking out. I remember the phone call and her panicking over something, she didn't explain it 100%, just saying, "Grandma's house is haunted."
I couldn't believe her really, until she told me, then some of the incidents from when I was younger started to make sense. I didn't say much until she moved back and I finally said, "So I'm not the only one who has had experiences at that house?"
She told me that her and her boyfriend brought a friend to stay with them. She was staying in my grandfather's room, while my sister stayed in the master bedroom with her boyfriend. She told me that there were these strange feelings about the house, my mother said it was our grandfather, I don't think my grandfather was into hurting people, he was too gentle in life.
My sister told me of the weird things, movements in the livingroom, plants dying in the utility bathroom, which my grandmother always put them in there because of the window got good light. But historically, any plant that was put in there would die in a matter of three to four days.
My sister told me of one time she and her boyfriend were arguing and something happened that caused the two to freak out. My sister's friend went from her room, she was evidently sleep walking, ended lying in the kitchen between the two of them with her head pointed to ward the utility area. When the girl woke, she didn't know why she was in the kitchen, other than that something was dragging her there.
When my sister called me was after that had happened. She said that since I knew a lot about ghosts and stuff, that she knew who to talk to. I told her I will make her a seal and she can hold one in her wallet, while the other was put on the utility bathroom, which she believed was the vocal point.
To this day, I won't go near that house, in fact, my sister realized the real reason why I would not stay or live with my grandmother before she died. I knew about that something was not right at that house, and I wanted no part in it and I still don't.
Yes, I know a lot about ghosts, I know about the good ones and the bad...and the one I saw at my grandmother's was as bad as it comes. What scared me the most since childhood was the fact that this thing made my grandmother just plain nasty to deal with. I don't know why, but that spirit or whatever was feeding off her negativity, and had a fondness for her. It attacked my sister, and so, if you want to ask me about ghosts or ridicule this story, please realize, ther are many different aspects you have to consider.
I do confide this and also realize that yes, it is a time to tell ghost stories. This is just my experience....and my sister's, we stand by our story.

Don't let them...sometimes the best option is to ignore them and move around a bit more.
