Key to Success!

Last night I spent hours thinking about keys to Success before I finally slept,

 first let me define Success to you from my perspective, Success for me is baking a perfect moist cake, making my parents proud , catching and swatting an irritating futile housefly, grinning with revenge  after winning a game against your husband on the Xbox, of course after a series of defeats!

As mundane my success stories may sound but I feel only this little sweet struggles of life are the ingredients to suffice your heart.  Last few months were deviating me away from this petty struggles and heading towards a big one, I had started to feel that my  new found job was going to make me rich and famous, who was I kidding? Like many other success story breakdowns on the dream-breakers lane, my story was also heading to the section which was marked “Foolish People with Big Dreams  please head here”  Why Foolish? I will tell you the world out there is mean, selfish and players of words! My little picture of a lady making it big in the city was very different to what the reality was! Only now I know that “Making it Big” is actually “Being Small” Small in generosity, small in thought and small in humanity, Every body is playing a cat and mouse game! The powerful people always use their power for the wrong things and the people struggling below are always looking for a fool to barter with, u are useless if you don’t have a bunch of bigshots who can pass forward a piece of document to be signed! U are useless if you don’t know someone big and famous! You are again USELESS! If you cant offer what the Big Mean Monster Wants! Now whose the Big Monster? He is the one who plays with words! He’s got the Big Contacts and Friends! He makes you feel you are talking to the most wise man on the earth, his words are like Nelson Mandela! He will make you feel he is the most humane Human who cant even look at an ant being hurt! He makes promises that he will take you to the top, give you all that you need and accompany you on the rugged road, Ok this is what you get when you’re right in front of him on his big monster table behind a big post title with his name on a gold plate…. Ok lets get past his introduction, once your’e done with sipping the coffee and a nice greeting of farewell and the door shuts as you go out of the Monsters cave you are again a nobody…. The second you’ve exited the tall building he has already forgotten your name… the documents that you handed him to review are probably being shredded in the machine and his office boy is serving coffee to another fool dressed to impress who may have worked for days to prepare those 6 page proposals to make the Monster Happy!

Let me tell you the Monster is not always mean, he is very considerate to people who are sent by his best friend or his sister in law, he makes big favors for guys who are going to write something good about him in a magazine or two, and of course he is beyond generous for the ones who come with a government id of a big ranking!

I retreat! I have had enough of the struggle to have a piece of the Monsters Cake!

I therefore conclude that keys to success are much better when they are for goals that are petty, individual dependent and free of influences and influencers.
