So im not going to be all pretentious about how i feel for my country! (INDIA)
infact im not to expected to be patriotic at all! C'mon i was born in this sandy dessert! and spent more than half of my life in sharjah and then few years in the "Arabian New York" which is DUBAI!
Lucidly this happens to be one of the Biggest Melting Pots in the World, you will see Diversity in Complete action! i have a range of friends in colours, shapes and sizes all bursting out with weird or widely spoken lingos and cultural differences! and of course each thinks they're the Best!
Last month was a great encounter with myself! lets just say that i never knew i had an indian in me!...i was surprised with all this deep feelings that i had for my counrty even thou i have hardly spent any time in India!
Apparently i also discovered an indians love for Cricket, Bollywood movies and Marriages is endless! this whole sentimental-trip started with the Cricket World Cup and a virtual war on facebook!
A few disgraceful and provoking comments from some other nationalities jus sizzled a spark in my heart! i completely started defending my indian players! did u just notice that? i call them "MY" Players..lol
I started loving and praying for Sachin n Dhoni, i got a "little girl" kinda crush on Virat Kohli! and i was eating and sleeping Cricket! the numbers "Six" and "Four" started holding a special importance..i was all of sudden all patriotic and "a facebook hooligan" for teasing all the other losers!
The Day of Semi Finals During the National Anthem was sung i just stood there with tears rolling out my eyes and Goosebumps! woah! have u ever had that feeling? its like "Patriotic Orgasm"! and the Finals was like Do or Die! i was getting all nervous wen the team against made such a nice score but INDIA was destined to win and so they Did! WE BLED BLUE!... We Screamed out loud chanting slogans for INDIA..we came out on the streets! We were all strangers to each other but we were all happy Indians! we wanted to hug each other and scream louder! the streets were flooded with indians honking their car horns and children running around with Flags! and please note: this was all happening in DUBAI!
