I love beauty, and looking as pretty as this "old lady" possibly can, so I study and look things up online for helping myself out of the beauty rut and getting a new look. I was once offered a job modeling and have been told that when my hair was dark brown (yes, I love to dye my hair different colors, I get bored easily) that I was a Valerie Bertinelli, look alike. If you don't know her already from her TV shows, here is a picture of her:
And here is a picture of me from when I had my hair brown:
Anyway, the modeling offer and the look alike stuff had a simple girl like me working on trying to find what I can do to try to keep up my appearance even as I start to age. I don't have a lot of money like big stars do, but I can work with recipes, hints and tips. And being that I love this so much I love to share the information with my friends as I find it.
So here are some of my favorite Beauty bookmarks to share with my friends and others online:
I learned how to use eyeliner better here, I didn't buy the expensive stuff shown on this page, there are cheaper things that you can find in the drug store just look for "gel" eyeliner. :)http://www.the-beauty-blog.com/tightlining.html
I like the all natural recipes for skin care and in particular for anti aging, yes I am getting up there in age. But I really like the recipe toward the middle of this page which is for all ages, it means I no longer have to buy the pore strips at the store and it's less expensive. http://www.sunspotsonskinaging.com/ oh and the recipes that she recommends are for all ages, it's never too early to start taking care of your skin.
last but not least is this site, I love their giveaways and contests... makeup talk keeps me entering and I even won once from these people: http://www.makeuptalk.com/ nice people here and I've added them to twitter to watch for new information on beauty.
Well that's about all I will share today for my first little post, I hope that some people find this stuff helpful... please comment and let me know what you are thinking. :)

here I learned to make my eyes look larger for pictures, just don't do this all the time, it looks strange in person! lol http://www.rewaj.com/beauty-tips/tips-for-using-white-eyeliner.html
I have a square shaped face and I found this information helpful:http://www.ehow.com/how_2290240_corrective-contour-makeup-squareshaped-face.html just be careful not to over correct, it can look fake and again it's best used for pictures, not for in person. :)
