Isnt it hightime that Hijab should become a new trend for all, as i know from the past everything that was negatively proclaimed or abjured had high contingency of becoming a tabooed fashion! look wut lady gaga does....isnt it totally bizzare?
I would not be shocked to see a french or any anti hijab nationality wearin one headpiece just to break the norm! thank god it is a norm atleast in the part of the world i live in. I have one nonmuslim lady i know of who had bought an abaya (traditional emarati hijab) from one of the high-branded Designer retailer, she tweeted on twitter queit frantically about her new chic n custommade designer piece of art! and wanted her friend to wear one with her for their next outing, now where else would u see this as a complete mundane act in this world at this moment when anywhere else in the west its only considered to be a reason of turmoil and the reason of complete stereotypical notion that the west generates about it!
On the contrary side of this nation, i got educated in a school where western influenced children and style was at a booming level, girls in Hijab were judged to completely feelingless, thoughtless, not in and happening, muslim robots and generally indifferent to time and worldly matters, its like the image of the Dorky and Nerdy character in hollywood movies who gets manhadled in the highschool hallways and gets boooed at during school activities, if i was given a chance like Drew barymore in "Never been Kissed" to go again as a student i would make a big effort to make them understand that Girls in Hijab have the same hormone glands as the others, they too beg their moms to get the latest gadget or dress that she saw last sunday at the mall, they too get butterflies seeing the heartthrob at school, they too have little or big quarrels with their parents on doing sumthing wrong, they too get grounded, they too like going out with their friends on weekends for a coffee or window shoppin at the mall, they too daydream about their crush! and lastly they too have feelings and understand when u are standing in the corner of the class and talking bout her in a friends ear.
Well im happy for both kind of people that i have encountered in emarat, the ones who have accepted this i congratulate and thank them for not being ignorant and stereotype and the others im happy that they will all end in hell oneday... lol ! this is me and this is how i write just like how u carry ur cynicism i carry mine!
