Bolt: The Case for Having a Bolt Page

I have asked myself this question repeatedly when looking at my bolt page, sans the comments of friends or readers, or notices that anything at all had occurred on this network regarding me or my online presence: why bother? I questioned the purpose, in all honesty, of having anything other than a Facebook or twitter account. I have come to the conclusion, that between this and my other blogs, it is a sort of private residence on the web. Where Facebook and twitter are almost public gathering places where i see and talk too everyone from my closest friends to my more obscure acquaintances, this was more like the solitude of a small personal apartment, where one has the occasional guest.

As one who enjoys a bit of solitude, I aprreciate this aspect, and plan to continue work on m page and blog here, as well as investigate the native blogs for new and interesting things. Its like moving to a new town.

Indeed. ITs a bit like an online zen garden

peaceful, less invasive than the constant flow of BS from twitter and FB. I enjoy them both, but this place is, as i stated above, like a private residence, vs a massive public forum.

I like bolt, and im impressed that it manages to survive amidst its stiff competition.
