Of course not!
The values I received as a child and still have today simply say that marriage is a God ordained ceremony between a man and a woman. It is a confounding and tenacious issue. I have no problem with two boys or two girls living together as a couple. However, marriage has been -since written history has occurred- between a man and a woman.
I don't know if you're speaking in the mindset of a gay marriage advocate or if you're truly expressing your opinion Kevin. I do agree, however, the argument made by Lyn still has the same level of reason. Thus, it is still a valid argument--perfectly capable of debating what you've said. I think this may lead to the foundations of what we believe. Lyn, why do you believe in your religion? Conversely, Kevin, why do you not follow religion?
Also Lyn, how much do you think the values instilled when you are a child solder onto your selfhood?
I'd like to see what you believe the answer is to that question Kevin.
