I was reading the news today and it saddens me to know that a historical part of the Canadian Heritage is slowly crumbling: because of the mis-management and all sorts of business politics and because of the length of time it takes to get things accomplished -- with various pending approvals from various departments and what not.
It really is a shame...especially since my work is related to the people who sit in that building and make the important decisions and knowing in the fall they will not be able to go in there, because of various asbestos issues, the crumbling structure of the building itself, the very old electrical and cooling systems are very old and do not meet regulations.
I really hope that future generations get to experience the same things we did, and that our current societies don't end up like Atlantis.
Anyway sorry for my rant, but I was wondering what do you guys think of deteriorating archaeological works, and how would you feel if one day everything we've ever worked for vanished and a future generation was left with sticks and stones and had to re-invent the wheel (pun totally intended)
