Unless I'm unaware of it(and I might very well be, since it's been awhile since I was on Bolt), Bolt needs to better embrace it's artists, especially music and songwriting ones like myself. There was once a time when I had many of my demos uploaded on Bolt, it was pretty cool...It was welcoming for an indie artist like myself to get the type of exposure I was getting on Bolt.

I have an extensive background in media, sound design, and marketing, and (I) would love to share ideas about how to further the relative plights incited here...;)

Let's consider open source, shall we?
From what I read about Ning, it seems to be an open source program.
What if we made the Bolt source code available to anyone who wants to try out new things? So that if anyone is interested, they could test things on their own servers before sending it to the Bolt staff for production. And I don't mean getting into the nitty gritty like access to everyone's passwords. I mean just for general layouts or anything else developers would like to try and create.

'Tis true that I'm unable to contribute with technical expertise.
Before I invest much time or energy or uploading on this site, I, like so many other members, need to know how this site will be funded in order to support development and maintenance. Does anyone in this group know how the owners intend to keep this site afloat? The last rise of BOLT was doomed for the fall because the owners failed to take care of the business end. Development is useless without securing the funds for it. I'd like to advertise this site on my MyYearbook page but before I do that, I need to know I'm not leading people into a disappointment. How is this site to be financed? There are no adverts that I can find.

i think we need to add online icons. and im having trouble with the bulk uploader. i have added alot of videos and had to do them seperate. something to work on i guess.

I can develop almost anything with HTML and I can learn the CCS language along with anything else you might need. I am currently unemployed and would love to be a part of this bolt revolution. I was part of bolt in 1996 and i miss it! So although this site is not everything bolt was, I'll do what I can to help!
