My very first anime show was SAILOR MOON. I was mad fun of alot because people said it was a girl show. Well to tell you the truth. It my first violent animation show ever. I never forget that dieing scene when the guy was stab and was about to die under the tree. That was a great scene.

thats cool man im in orlando fl. they have some anime conventions here not to mention megacon but havent got a chance to go in one so far maybe this year ill attend in one of them.

Man your lucky. There never coventions where I'm at. When there is a conventions. But it always about guns and flea markets. If I ever get go to a anime convention I will dress up one of my favorite charectors.

Well wat got me into anime was my FAV cartoon when I was a lil girl it was Sailor Moon ^_^ I love it it was so kool yeah but then over the years i forgot bout sailor moon then I had pillow case of sailor moon n i membered hoe much i missed the show so then I went on the internet n i put in sailor moon n i saw like a million of pics of sailor moon n i was sooo excited I forgot wat happen like in the other episodes so i see them on youtube XD. My fav part of sailor moon is when the lil pink headed girl Chibi moon turns evil that is my favorite part ^_^.

What got me into anime was Naruto, Inuyasha, Fullmetal Alchemist and Eureka 7, which I watched all the same night for the first time!

First rly was Naruto, i think.

I'd have to say when Macross was first shown in the states (sometime around 1985...) I also remember Captain Harlock, also in the early/mid 80's...

However, really got into anime in my high school, college years, Doing tape trades with otakus in Japan. I would trade thier Gundam and Lum episodes with Seinfeld, 21 Jump street, Cheers and other popular TV series at the time..

watching akira in 1996... though i have to admit... i had to watch it another 2 times before i understood what was really happening lol. but that definitely set the stage for tenchi, bleach, inu yasha, code gleass, trigun, ah! my goddess, r.o.d., fushigi yugi, etc.

I have always been into anime, I got started into japanime come gundam, I wasn't impressed with it, but later found card captor sakura, and thought all anime was cute, saw dragonball z and was interested, with yu yu hakusho I because furry curious by the time cowboy bebop rolled around I was hooked

even tho saw stuff like dbz, ronin warriors, thundercats and all that, thas not what really got me into anime. it was when they showed Vampire Hunter D on the sci-fi channel. after that, i was a full fledged otaku, haha
