Would guys prefer girls to ask them out?

Here's one guy's opinion: I wouldn't mind girls asking me out instead. This could be because I've been told "no" so many times in the past (although I've been in a relationship for 3 years now so I must've done something right). Sometimes, it's difficult to distinguish a girl who acts just for attn or acts in hopes that the guy makes the first move.

"acts" as in flirts? like a girl may just be flirting for attention, not necessarily because she likes the guy? So how do I know if he is flirting for attention or flirting because he likes me?

ask him out the way you would want to be asked out. be polite and friendly. If he says no, take rejection gracefully. If his grounds for saying no is that you broke protocol, and where insufficiently rigid in performing your gender role, fuck him, he's not the kind of guy you want to date anyway.

just do it.  :)  most guys like when the girl takes some initiative - planning something, doing something for them.  it's totally worth it.
