Why did Obama Win? Why did Romney Lose?

It has been a week since the election has ended. The dust has settled and people have had time to sober up from their victories and loses. Why did you think the election turned out the way it did?

Everyone makes stupid comments now and then. Believe it or not, even presidents do.

Does anyone remember the aftershock of the 2004 elections when Bush got re-elected? Kerry supporters were stunned when the president who oversaw the September 11th attacks, put the country billions in debt and started two wars won not only the electoral college again but the also the popular vote. Personally, I felt, it wasn't so much that Bush was the better candidate but that Kerry was an unattractive candidate who ran on being anti-Bush without having a solid vision for America.

This is just 2004 all over again, with the positions switched. It really came down to not having more democrats or Obama pulling a fast one on the American voters, but the republicans having selected a poor choice.

Romney didn't even earn the nomination...it was just given to him after Americans exhausted their options on Bachmann, Cain, Perry, Gingrich and Santorum until they were left with Romney. Also, republicans spent more time attempting to court the republican vote than the American one.

But did Obama really earn his reelection? I would say, "No." I suppose he was just the lesser of two evils for many people.
