there are lots of things that happen after death. Many would go through what they have created with their own imagination ie., hell. Some would merge with The Great Spirit. Others would have rebirth. Some others work as guides to heal and help humans. Heaven & Hell are figments of human imagination. Theres still a lot more............

I used to think that when you died you just have a never ending dream, but then it started to freak me out because it made me think, well...if its a never ending dream, then how do I know I'm not just dreaming now and I'm already dead? o.0
I'm with Foofighter now, we die, we get buried, we rot, get eaten by bugs, whatever...we're just dead. I think thats less scary :-P

Cultural perspectives are so weird. For the Buddhists reincarnation is hell, it's punishment for fucking it up. But for you, it's a desirable chance to redeem yourself...
(my answer to the question is also wormfood, and that that doesn't have to be scary, but rather can be quite beautiful...)
