what do you think about barack obama's controversial plan on abortion?

what do u think people? But I think that the abortion thing is bad because wiping a newborn baby is already bad . I guess Barack's smooth talking comes with a price. But barack just said one sort of bad think so why every one ganging up on him he just had one bad day why give him another one.

Some people may think that abortion is murder but it may be for the best for the child. Would you let your child suffer from possible social isolation and suffering?

I'm talking about one of the reasons why people choose to abort.
I notice that some people decided to abort their child because they 'just' didn't want a child. Fair enough!
Saying death for the child is better than life can never be considered "Whats Best" for the child. No parent can foresee what their child will develop into and it is asinine to attempt to assume it.
To prevent suffering, it may be worth to assume what the child could develop into.
Some people even think life is not worth living.

I think the people who chooses abortion loves their child to the point they don't want it to suffer.
If men could get pregnant, abortion would be a sacrament.

Does anybody else think it's weird that anti-abortion folk tend to also be anti-contraception folk? One would think that both sides could agree that by reducing the number of abortions, contraception and sex-ed are universally good...I suspect abortion is the thin-edge of the wedge. Today it'll be abortion, tomorrow it'll be contraception, the day after that STI vaccines and research until all women are barefoot and pregnant and nobody thinks sex is fun anymore.

Just so you know, not all of our nutty Christian churches teach that that's the only right form of birth control. =) I think a lot of choices made by a Christian, whether normally considered religious or not, are more between that person and God than that person and the church. Just going out on a limb, there. =P

It is practically the same debate as whether euthanasia should be legal. (I know most of you uneducated folks are gonna look up what that means...)

I don't think taking a life is ethical, but in the long run it is the mother's decision what she wants to do and having said that, I think it is a woman's right to be given that choice and noone should take that away - just like noone can take away your right to vote, or to speak up in court, or speak out about issues that concern you.

Does she want to take care of this baby - perhaps she was raped, or perhaps the father left her? Is she ready to be a single mom? Can she afford it? All these questions will impact the baby's life if the mother chooses to keep it.

The other thing is the body goes through a lot of changes during pregnancy, sometimes abortion can fuck that up to the point that you can't have kids again and any woman considering abortion should be aware of that and thoroughly discuss it with her doctor.

Fuck! Abortion!!!
Because abortion is evil. Why take away another man's life? This life belong to our creator God..so on no account shall it be taken by another person.

Some of us don't acknowledge your god as real, and refuse to base public policy on inane bronze-age superstitions.

Why take away another man's life?

So, abortion is only wrong if the fetus is male?
That's good to know.

You mean his plan to maintain the legalization of abortion? It isn't that controversial considering that is what every American president has done for the last 30 some years.
