Internet has provided an entire new face to vanity, a new outlet. Does it actually inspire this, or simply forms into existence what was there all along?
I am referring to the bizarre obsession that the larger portion of the female population seems to have with their own image. I realize that (for biological and cultural reasons) women have a very heightened attitude towards their appearance. This is not necessarily bad, but from what I have noticed I think it is nearing a psychological disorder.
How often do you come across profiles with pages upon pages of practically identical pictures of nothing but the profile's owner, taken with slightly different angles and slightly different facial expressions? How many of you are these owners? Many. I can understand the enjoyment of photography, even if it is simply of you in different situations. But these pictures... There is nothing to them but you, endlessly... And these "collections" keep on growing!
Am I the only one to be disturbed by this? Are we so used to it, it has become the norm? I know our society inspires self obsession in every form, but this seems to be an indication that in the near future Vanity and Pride will leave the ranks of deadly sins and join the ranks of heavenly virtues.

... Then why are you still replying to this thread. Along with several other people, that are replying on the subject.

Define moved on.
I see you put as much effort into your posts as you do into your troll accounts.

To begin with, I mentioned two people as an example for my point. Did I attempt to list every single person that I consider vain on Bolt?

No.

Secondly, countless times I've said, and others said, that we are talking about large numbers of identical images. Does Stan have large numbers of practically identical images?

No.
Don't buy the No No! Hair remover. It's a terrible product and I'm sending it back.
It worked for me.
Honestly? It seems like it gets only incredibly fine hair. I need someone else to try it and show me what I'm doing wrong. =|
Did the hair really grow back less and less?

I know this is a thread titled Vanity, but I'm curious. I was really psyched about this product. =/
I didn't take anyone's name off, this is the second time that someone brought it up. Where is this coming from? Does it not show up in that second post of the thread?

Thank you for that reply though, it was more or less what I was looking for.
Wait indeed.
No, I wasn't sarcastic. It seemed like an honest reply. You've recognized what I meant and tried to explain how it worked out in your mind. I appreciate that.

And my mention of you was in my reply to Lexi.
Dont worrie about it BPB. Its just this idiot cant look good in a picture.. So he wants you to feel that you look bad.. Its just jealousy, its worried more about vanity than you are..
I said he wants you to feel that way. Not that you were....
Being vain isn't really a bad thing anyway... I prefer to look at people looking their best, rather than people who let themselves go...
And it hurts nobody.. And yeah you look ok for a kid
You finally gave him what he wanted all along, sweet cheeks. Obviously, he created a thread with certain replies already in mind. Now, the criteria is fulfilled.

After much ado.
