Internet has provided an entire new face to vanity, a new outlet. Does it actually inspire this, or simply forms into existence what was there all along?
I am referring to the bizarre obsession that the larger portion of the female population seems to have with their own image. I realize that (for biological and cultural reasons) women have a very heightened attitude towards their appearance. This is not necessarily bad, but from what I have noticed I think it is nearing a psychological disorder.
How often do you come across profiles with pages upon pages of practically identical pictures of nothing but the profile's owner, taken with slightly different angles and slightly different facial expressions? How many of you are these owners? Many. I can understand the enjoyment of photography, even if it is simply of you in different situations. But these pictures... There is nothing to them but you, endlessly... And these "collections" keep on growing!
Am I the only one to be disturbed by this? Are we so used to it, it has become the norm? I know our society inspires self obsession in every form, but this seems to be an indication that in the near future Vanity and Pride will leave the ranks of deadly sins and join the ranks of heavenly virtues.

Looking through your album I see you have a few repetitive images of yourself, but not as excessively as what I have in mind. If I was to give examples from the "popular" members of Bolt, manda☮nicole and Amazingly Alexis would be my prime candidates.
I think the pictures with no clothes are related but a different issue. That's the need for attention. I was thinking more among the lines of self obsession.
It seems like what you brought up is a touchy subject for you, as you feel sad that the "sexiest" pictures are getting more attention. Are you really upset that they are doing it, or is honestly more so than you can't do the same?
Yeah I guess the "can I see something else" is partly what I was driving at. I am surprised that the person who is posting them doesn't realize that after about 50 of them it might be enough.

Really, there are too many? Can you link some threads? I only remember one other guy within this last month or so. Or is two too many?
Your words, not mine. You have chosen to define my reasons and then become offended by them... Brilliant? In reality you have no way of knowing what my reasoning is, so where does the need to be offended by it come from?

Would my personality be less incognito if I was more like you, for example? If I have chosen a random screen name that does not actually reflect me and posted a few random pictures I found online? How is that less incognito?

This post of yours is out of character for "xEmoxLuvx". If you are going to make trolls, you could at least try to stick to their posting style.

I love the irony of you of all people attacking anonymity.

Thank you for your participation.
Well, no one has to read or reply to any given thread. You've made a conscious choice to take part in this one, for example.
I doubt you can speak for all to define what they are here for. Sure, relaxation and getting away are a safe assumption. But how can you know what those are for every person? To each its own, as the saying goes.
I'll leave the "nudity" to Lexi Diva since that was her complaint, not mine.

To bottom line it, self confidence and boredom is you reasoning behind taking pages upon pages of virtually identically images of yourself?
I didn't say stop... I asked why.
Is that what you are trying to prove, that you are not ashamed? Is it a consistent attempt to give yourself more worth?

What would a picture change? I could find ten online and post them. Or I could post my actual picture and you'd never know if it was me. It is no achievement, and doesn't influence this thread in any way.
It's not about the redundancy of the previous images. It's about quantity in general.

I find it amusing that you'd make a "have a life" comment considering one of your hobbies entails posting never ending identical pictures of yourself on a random forum site.

Which by the way pop up on the front page, all the time. No one has to actually go to your profile to notice that.

And I don't think you simply think that you are "pretty", as you've indicated in your original reply. Clearly you feel the need to stress that point to yourself and to others every day.
You have an issue as well. You ironically do not have enough pictures of yourself. For someone this obsessed with the "emo" imagery, I would expect more pictures of yourself showing off how "emo" you are. There aren't any...
You come off as a troll in general half of the time, but with way to much effort and time to actually be one (Or at least I hope so).
I am guessing you aren't actually that emo at all, but wish you were.
But hey, that's just guessing.
Such as?
You need better background stories for you fake profiles.
That would work if your profile wasn't an emo cliche.
