ugh. Can't wait for this whole fiasco to be over.

They've been filming in my city [ Vancouver, BC ] and everyone is always freaking out about it.
It's pretty lame, imo for someoneto spend 1, 000 on a plane ticket to come here just to take a 5 second glance at some lame pretty boy and ohhhhhh possibly touch his hand!!

[YES I was talking to a customer who came to my work who was from Europe who actually did this. Well it was two friends actually. lol]
If I could literally piss on a franchise and everything it encompasses, this would be my first choice.
She cannot write...FOR SHIT.

So, hate? Yes, I believe that counts as one for the hate category.
this is true. Twilight was fun- keeping in mind it was written for tweens, then the rest of the books were just torture, but you had to find out how it ended.

I really enjoyed what was published of Midnight Sun though. Made me love Edward more :)

If JK would have written it.... dynamite!
The writing isn't that great and I HATE what she did to vampires - they are not all supposed to be gorgeous and young looking. There has to be physical gruesomeness. That's how I like my vampires. ;)
I also think it's kinda disgusting that Meyer has her own graphic novel. Really? I guess you gotta milk it for all it's worth, huh?
Other than those things I really don't have any negativity towards it. I understand what it's like to be into something that you know might not be the best quality but you can't help yourself. I just feel like it's destroying the world at this point. It's so out of hand. There are plenty of other really great books and movies to get excited about.
Love. Just Started Breaking Dawn.
And I quote: "There are no vampires in Twilight. Only sparkle fairies. =P
Honestly, speaking as a vampire fan: it greatly bothers me. The storyline is really not worth all of the praise and attention it is receiving. There are no huge conflicts, and I hate the fact that there is this perpetual fairy tale ending bullshit. The way in which Stephanie Meyer altered vampires on a whole is HIGHLY irritating. Really, vampires who sparkle? Come the fuck on. Vampires are depicted in such a puny and pathetic way in the series. What happened to that innate savageness innate within a vampire? COMPLETELY gone. Also, the fact that people in general views vampires as the hottest new "trend" really pisses me off. I really think Twilight is more or less to blame for it. I cannot wait until it dies off, and there is something new to concentrate on. The fact that little teenie boppers are so infatuated with it because of douchey Robert Pattinson is even more obnoxious.
I have read two of the books, Twilight and New Moon and saw the movie. I thought they were mediocre at best. They are decent, but not the greatest American novels of the century like everyone seems to think.
Love it love it love it.
I'm seriously going to see New Moon in theaters the MINUTE it comes out.
i read the book, amazing huh?
Didn't love. Didn't hate. I found her take on the vampires and shapeshifters interesting. I didn't much dig on the hidden abstinence lecture, though. I also thought the flow of the book was easy and juvenile (not necessarily a bad thing, it just didn't require my brain to work that hard...) Overall, it served its purpose and I'm curious to see how the movies go.

The only notable thing I can think of about the series is that everyone keeps comparing it to Harry Potter. Which is effing retarded. They're nothing alike (except that both the movie versions happen to have Robert Pattinson). And it wouldn't matter anyway because Harry Potter is obviously better in every sense of the word :)
Personally, I liked nothing about the movie but the half-naked werewolves. Take it or leave it:)
