Mountains, by far. There's something distinctly rugged, rustic, and picturesque about them. I am definitely more of a wilderness girl.

Beach! Climbing the sides of mountains in Italy (on tourist trails) I was seriously considering sending a flair to be air lifted out.

Theres bears and scary animals in the mountains!!!
Definitely the beach, although, if I lived by the ocean(with sharks) instead of a nice, safe lake I would reconsider.
