In helping my 12 year old son with his "health" homework last night, I discovered that the students are being strongly encouraged to sign a vow of abstinence in the 7th grade. Does it truly take a village to raise a child? My belief is it is MY responsibility to educate my son on making choices and consequences for choices... and not just in relation to sexual activities. Thank you to the stupid people of this world breeding and leaving it up to the school teachers to teach their cretins common sense. No, I do NOT want my son to sign a vow of abstinence at the age of 12! Let's set him up for a huge moral failure, because statistically, he won't keep that vow. I would have supported him had he made that choice. He also stated the "sex ed" teacher introduced herself, and then just became so casual with the students. Talking about sex as if it were the weather. A lot of students were extremely uncomfortable. Maybe, just MAYBE most kids would rather keep private things out of the public school. It is necessary to a degree- sex ed...but a vow of abstinence...come on! Not a nay-sayer...just like to teach my kids to be responsible in everything.

Damn,
Have you guys ever seen a show called moral oral?? It's about this kid who's parents are super religious. So everytime he asks something they tell him in the messed up little kid way and he takes them totally litterally most times and rationalizes it and totally makes a mess outta everything. There's an episode about masterbation and sex. You should watch it with your son, to lighten him up about everything. He'll totally ask you more if he se's how open minded you are. (Watch it yourself first, just in case it's inapropriate.................... well it definately is, but if you are both mature about it could be an Idea.
