This is one of my favourites-
"Respect yourself enough to walk away from anything that no longer serves you, grows you or makes you happy."

The Dali Lama in response to being asked what surprises him the most about humanity.

"Man…. Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived."

"Only when the last tree is cut; only when the last river is polluted; only when the last fish is caught; only then will they realize that you cannot eat money."

-Native American Proverb

Oops there is no 'like' button here. Nevermind, the thought behind this activity is that everyone who reads these quotes gains something. I have been aquainted with this page cum blog lately where the author created such competition and I found that very enlightening. With every sensible quote that I read in the comment box I got a better understanding.

Hmm the last line is really insightful-"he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived." I like it

Happiness is your nature, it is not wrong to desire it.
What is wrong is seeking it outside when it is inside.
-Ramana Maharishi

"Every twenty-four hours, the world turns on the man who thought he was sitting on top of it"

Demand excellence from yourself. Don't ask politely. Demand it.
