So question.
I went to school to become a dental assistant. Im currently working at Western Dental and getting paid $9/hr. I work in the ortho-department (braces). Now for my qualifications im only suppose to do certain things, but in learning i know how to do a few RDA (registered dental assistant) duties. Now since i know, the RDAs expect me to do the work.
Is this fair?
Since i also know how, they slow down and expect me to hurry up and do their work too.
What should i do?

This happens all over the world in every line of bussiness... The bottom line is, you're not an RDA, so can not expect to be paid as one.. This is the sort of thing people do to advance in whatever field you work in.
So first you show them how you can do everything... They would already know how well off they are with you there. And you should be trying to get certified as an RDA, maybe just talk to them and see if they can help with that ... Cuz its not what you can do... Its what that piece of paper says you can do..
