Ok so im not really religious. i mean i used to be, i guess it was pushed on me as a kid. i never really wanted to sit alone as a little 6yr old in a big church with my head down, while the paster talked to me about accepting christ in my life. i felt uncomfortable! |
BUT back to the subject.

if we only have a "book/bible" to go by. then should we believe it? How do we know if its real. WHY are there so many different versions of the bible?
What about all the evidence found contridicting the bible.

WHY do we believe what people tell us.

As others have already written, it depends on faith, forget weather it is a book, the words inside it explain an everlasting Joy and peace and the normal way to live our Lifes, plus in addition the person who we are to worship, The Most High God that created me & you.....

 

If you want your believe to change, Start reading the Bible

Start by reading the book of Genesis First

Then the book of Matthew (compare them together and you will want to read more) trust me

tis more of a personal experiance wiht religon as the original goal to help people guide themselves toward the goal of being good and going to heaven as the reward...of course as it IS a personal experiance, pastor have their own intake and will give you what they feel is right on top of what is supposed to be right.

I believe that there is something out that, some sort of hire being out there.  However, I'm not sure if I can believe the bible entirely since it basically is a big game of telephone.  Passed down to whoever, down and down and down, and now it's not the original text, i'm sure.  

 

Nonetheless, there has got to be something or someone that watches over our world.

The origin of modern religion is fairly obvious. The most ancient of religions were based off the personified sun which went by many names from Ra to Jesus. Sun, which sheds its light from the heavens, is born of the virgin (Virgo) on December 25th, winter solstice, when Orions Belt (Egyptians called it "The Three Kings") lines with with Sirius, the Eastern star, and points towards the location on the horizon where the sun will rise again foreshadowing warmer days. A big deal in ancient times. Before its birth/resurrection, the sun is dormant on the horizon for 3 days after setting beneath the Crux (Cross) constellation. I'm told I shouldn't write long discussion replies so I'll stop there. But basically, why does there have to be a god?

Sadly that is a fabrication of history.  You have been misled, though cleverly.  I have seen a few books propose this been there references were weak.  I even saw a really movie, but it was intentionally deceptive.  You can only get these similarities if you actually ignore the facts and make generalizations.  You also have to completely misunderstand Ancient Egypt.
