Is it possible to fall in love with someone you've never met?

My cousin and I were having this discussion last night... Because she truly believes she is in love with a guy she has never met. They met online, and have been talking for a couple months now. He even says he is in love with her as well. My question is....is it really possible to be in love with someone you have never met? ....

my opinion, I don't think so...I think you can be in love with the idea of the person, talking over the phone is different from actually spending time in person with someone. What you feel for them over the phone could be different from how you would feel with them in person.

and yes been there was txtn somone else for months was getting on well, then met them. and didnt work in person just didnt click. tell your sis do her background research. make sure he isnt 45 married with kids etc.

Anything is possible. Sometimes a spiritual, emotional and/or mental connection with someone are enough to fill someone's heart with love.

there is a starting point, where everything begins. you may have interest in someone but that does not mean you are fully convinced about the person. so thats where it starts until you meet the person ur interest is not complete.
secondly, u can express your love for some one online by the way u care for the person and how you communicate with the person. SEEING THE PERSON AND THE PERSON IN ACTION IS ANOTHER DIFFERENT THING. we can begin to love from the online but the final decision could be made after you have met each other.

Also when you are talking with someone virtually & not in person,your feelings are more prone to be affected by imagination & how you are perceiving things.
