You're not only made up of what you say and think. Someone you can talk to for hours online might bug the shit out of you in person, you just never know. I wouldn't completely discount starting a relationship with someone you met online, but I think people who have online relationships are pretty retarded. Or their "relationship" is at least. I wouldn't say I'm going out with someone if I didn't at least get to suck face once a week with them or something.
Fall in love? I'm not sure. But my guess is no. And I don't think it's all due to the lack of honesty of either part, it is also the fact that you don't know how they look like in person, how they smell and silly stuff like that... and even if they were honest, I guess it might just be a connection due to similar viewpoints about stuff.
I endured an 'online friendship' for six years, and one gets used to some aspects of the person, or the personality they have decided to be online, weird thing my friendship went down the drain because of a bus driver.... okay I'm not making any sense now... well anyways, this friendship was fun but I never felt 'love'.
