Is chivalry dead?

Chivalry a : marked by honor, generosity, and courtesy b : marked by gracious courtesy and high-minded consideration especially to women

It seems things like opening the doors for ladies and stuff to the nature of respect seems to get you a weird look these days. Is it not a good thing to try to be nice these days?

Yup. Women wanted to be equal (which they are) so they must take the bad with the good just like we do. There is nothing worse than some diva ass bitch who is on her lonely pedestal and expects all of the good and none of the bad...

It's sweet when a guy does it cuz he loves you and just wants to help...but doing it to the point of making the girl seem inferior or weak is just plain rude

Thats my whole reason for this post. I wanted to see what people thought about it. I don't ever think women are less, I just do it because its how I was raised. I don't ever want people to feel inferior. I agree there is a steriotypical view against this, and that doing it too much can creep some people out.

i think people should just help eachother. it doesnt matter if your a boy or a girl, romantically involved or not, if someone needs help, give it to them.

Why would a guy skip gettin in his door to walk all the way around to hers and open it? Its fuckin dumb...of couse you get weird looks. And I think feminists slayed the chivalry dragon in the liberation movements...cant have it all...it got swaped for equality now eat it.



BTW: I [Hate] Feminists with a passion. I think they are really lesbians but dont want to admit it.
