There is a serious problem I have that needs to be attended to, and I am loooking for people who are willing to help via unbiased input towards a situation where a person has opportunities to implement societal changes if the proper steps are taken. I'm basically living in a third world country in the United States, and there are opportunities to take it over, but the problem is that power corrupts, how does a person come to power without becoming corrupt?

An interesting question.
I would say that if you're asking that question, rather than, say, "how can i get as much power as possible as quickly as possible", you're already halfway there...
Martial artists say that the process of learning a martial art inherently teaches discipline. That the long hard struggle of learning how to kill someone with your bare hands teaches you to respect the power, and to value not using it. So I suppose my answer is 'by having to earn it'...
From his comments elsewhere, i had assumed he was Native American. The third world comment sounds like he's living on or near a reservation.
We also have an aboriginal population living in deeply troubling conditions. Ours are mostly a law unto themselves. Alcoholism, violence and sexism have started to run out of control, partly due to the fact that without the police and without respect for elders and tradition, nobody has any...incentive to rightness? moral compass? commanding authority? none of these sound quite like what i want to say, but i guess they'll do...
I imagine the situation is similar in the US, tho i could be very wrong. I imagine he's talking about trying to steer his community towards a higher standard of living, rather than a downward spiral. Which will require power.

G'Day from downunder, mate.

I am, as we speak, posting from a truck inner-tube floating in the walamaloo coolabah while drinking a fosters...
it wasnt that hard to understand,,,,
I lived on the Blackfeet Reservation and the currupt things that were the most crazy thing was prejudice against me being on thier reservation yet I earned trust from persons that held me in low esteem even though where I slept was monitored by people I knew and would have hurt me in the end my life would be worthless to them yet i maintained a job and tried to live normally I learned that a power struggle happened between BIA and tribe occured that i was unaware of it explained the many behaviors that i encountered lest to say i have enemies from that reservation but I was kicked off it and never plan to return to it. Try to keep an open mind and do not let the oppritunity of bringing peace slip away peace it a greater tool than you can ever imagine it helped me survive the blackfeet reservation
SAVAGES
It's funny how my people are called SAVAGES, when there is really nothing that can be construed as savage about them, we do not make war on the world, nor do we see ourselves as better than anything in nature. As for the question at hand, the real answer is that there is no way. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Anyone that knows anything about coming into power realizes that every "great" leader has at one point or another gone mad with power, but to steal from the Simpson's Movie, lol "Of course I've gone mad with power, have you ever tried going mad without power? It's boring, no one listens to you!"
