Just tell him to leave you alone. I know you said it doesn't work but you have to keep saying it. He calls you? Don't answer, he'll eventually get the picture. Being blunt is the only way to be in this situation. It's cold, but say "I never want to see you again. Never want to talk to you, so don't even call me." He keeps calling you even though you don't answer? Get your number changed. Stick through with it, don't ever talk to him if you see him around. FYI: even fighting with him is talking to him, so don't give him the time of day.

If he is making you this angry, he still has some kind of control over you. You both need to not talk to each other so you can both move on. And let him think what he wants, you shouldn't care if you truly feel like you are saying you do.
