Consider that the military is largely housed in barracks which are separated according to sex; one might suppose this condition exists in order to avoid the difficulties of interpersonal relationships, and for the military to relieve itself of a responsibility for sexual culpability.

Now, suppose gays are serving openly and some GI comes back to the barracks to find his or her roomates lounging around in a single bunk as goose buddies.

What can be done about them sucking face, sleeping together or along with the disturbing concept of its general spread of contamination?

If homosexuals are to serve openly in the military, they should be assigned to strictly homosexual units. That is the only way I could tolerate gays in the military.

There is a problem within your idea sir. If you are opening gay(telling the military you are a homosexual) they will not allow you within the military, it is a dont ask dont tell policy. Now if they are found within a single bunk then I am surprised that they were not kicked out of the military.

But lastly, Jesus doesnt care what thy neighbor does in bed, thats their life, not yours.
hmm, well, this is a pretty lame topic, posted by an even lamer individual....who is probably only spouting propaganda to cover his own hidden wants/desires....like most who spout this crap

besides, when your in the middle of combat, who better to watch your ass?
Yesterday Dan Savage raised an interesting point about this that I'd never thought about before, and I thought I would share it.
So it goes something like this:
-It is not *illegal* for a homosexual to serve in your military, the policy is "don't ask, don't tell" - as in, "it's fine as long as nobody finds out about it"
-therefore, there are many homosexuals in your military now.
-If their homosexuality is uncovered, their military career is over.
-Most homosexuals who are kicked out of the military are outed by other people.

From this information, you have to conclude that under the current system, because of the risk of blackmail, every single successfully closeted homosexual in the military is a security risk. The solution to this is not to try and root them all out. That's impossible. The solution is to remove the high-stakes "stay in the closet or you're out of the army" rule.
theres a price to pay when youre gay. its another challenge in the world. - to me which shouldn't be.
