Sure, but not consciously. A little help uncovering the unconscious knowledge is quite helpful.

And what about help moving a washing machine into your basement? Your knowledge of all will not aid you there! ;-)

False! Asking for help has no relationship to your IQ or how successful you are or not.

Well okay I see your point, you may need someone to help bring it to your attention that you know it.

Furthermore, I disagree with you Rydel, you could in theory move a washing machine into your basement if you already know everything, because you would've built a mechanized device to do it for you.

Smart people listen to other dumb peoples questions and answers and they learn from it.
That's why smart people almost never ask for help.

So, DumbFish, excuse me, I meant WaterFish, if a person with a medical emergency calls 911 and asks for help that makes the person dumb?

You could be the smart person alive, but it's kind of hard to save yourself unless you call 911 for help and have the proper treatment give to you. If you ask me it would be kind of hard to save yourself if your in a great deal of pain. Smart people will ask for help but before they ask for help they will try to learn form other people that have the same problem.
