My 8 top favs:
Steve Vai-Love his sound, tone, instrumental masterpieces, and he has a great atmosphere at his concerts its so awesome
Joe Satriani-Basically the same reasons as Vai but a little more dark and mysterious (i like to think of him and vai as twins)
Jeff Beck-Absolutely amazing live, love freeway jam the best, and he sounds so psychedelically but also modernly awesome. His new stuff is pretty good too. If u did not see him at crossroads last year i highly recommend u rent the dvd
because he was great there and easily stole the show (he had an awesome bassist too.)
Kurt Cobain-I know he doesn't have amazing solos or anything but i still think he's great because he plays it in a great grunge-style but can also do it very well acoustic (on Mtv Unplugged)
Jerry Cantrell-Kinda similar to Kurt but a little more diversity and he does also have awesome solos.
Angus Young-Awesome Live because he can put on such a show because of how much he moves around and does tricks and keeps with great solos and pairs great with Bon Scott or Brian Johnson or any singer that ever comes and goes.
Joe Perry-Great Solo, and Great with Aerosmith, I have all of his cd's and dvds and he is awesome. I love his solos and everything and the connection between him and Steven Tyler is undeniable. When Steven wraps his arm around his shoulder to sing Draw The Line, I almost cry (well not really, but i just thought it would sound cool to say that.)
And Finally....
Slash-He's Awesome with any band he's ever with, and is undoubtfully electrifyingly amazing. I also own all of his stuff and love it all, and he never fails to dissapoint. The solo in Sweet Child O Mine almost makes me cry (not really, but its still beautifully awesome) and the one in Nighttrain makes my stomach growl. He's just the best.

I also like lots of other guitarists such as Tom Morello, Carlos Santana, The Edge, Steve More, David Gilmoure and Kirk Hammett  too but they just missed my list. AWEEESOMEEE!!!

That's why I jumped on it. In the back of my head I said "What are the chances of this shit!". You get, like, 5,000 points for that. Or more. I'm still tallying the awesomeness.
*looking for hints*
Indeed.
Pepe Romero
Willie Brown
Carlos Santana
Prince
Stevie Ray Vaughan
Eric Clapton
B.B King
Yea most ppl don't think of him when it comes to being a great
guitarist. He is a very talented musician n he deserves some
recognition as well.
Hendrix was already mentioned n to me
that's like a given.
As for Chuck he should be named the tru
King of Rock n Roll. But honestly Idk if I
would call him a favorite of mine.
wow, great
Randy Rhoads R.I.P.
you're so fucking transparent ,it hurts my eyes just to look at you
It's really great.
I love the guys from Umphrey's McGee. Brendan Bayliss and Jake Cinninger are damn good improv players and are a treat to watch live. Get to see them again in a few weeks.
