So many boyfriends i know blow thier girlfriends off for other people such as friends or to do activities. My friends boyfriend blew her off to smoke for the first time. They dont go to the same school so its very hard to see eachother. She tranfered to his school but the day she did he dumped her and was seen with another girl. I go to his school so ive seen him with females. Shes really depressed they been together for 2 years. Any advise to her?

My questions are... how old are these people? Because age could play a role in maturity level and whatnot... 2.) Why whould she transfer to his school? That's borderline clingy to me. She could have tried a letter or some sort of communication. I'm not saying he was right though- you don't blow a girl off for other activities like that. Having a gf (or bf) requires time and committment as much as anything else would.

I like to play devil's advocate, and since most of the other people are advising "your friend" to just get over it and move on, I'm strongly advising "your friend" to do some crazy shit that she looks back on with shame when she's in her mid 20s. Something unbelievably manipulative, possibly involving a needlessly circuitous and convoluted plan - something a bond villain would do. I'm thinking multiple secret identities. Shakespearean sudden-reversals. Situations manipulated to create dramatic misunderstandings. Get creative, there are no rules in high-school dating.

thats what i been telling her. is howed her the replies you guys had and its like it goes through one ear and out the other. its crazy how she's soo damn attachted to him after they been thru plenty of break ups. plus there both 17yrs old. i think thier old enough to realize that there to old for this shit. but i mean i kinda stopped trying to help her because it was no use to her... i mean im single and i dont plan on being taken unless i get to know the dude and trust him but other then that im good the way i am
