Bolt Moderators... And Moderation

I need to figure out how much or how little moderating to do on this site. Certain things are out of my control, but others are really just based on the preferences of Bolt members. Weigh in on what kind of moderation should be done.. What is appropriate and what isn't appropriate? When should a member be banned from the site? What pic's, language, videos, topics, etc..., should or should not be permitted? Keep in mind, if there is any moderation at all, it is all going to be volunteer based! Not perfect... There is no money to do any better ;)

Umm...speaking of moderators, who exactly are the moderators? Sorry if these questions have been answered already, I just re-signed up yesterday and I'm trying to figure out the new bolt situation. Obviously, it's not the original company who owns the site, I am wondering who decided to try to bring it back. Was it a couple of Web people who loved the site and missed it or are they people who worked on staff for one of the original bolt sites? How are you getting funding for this? I love the effort and is there any way as members can we help bring bolt back too what we use to know and love? I've seen so many posts about how this bolt sucks and what not, but to me it looks like someone is really making and effort and I think that's awesome. Thanks.

I think free speech should be respected for the most part, if this is abused you can always submit a complaint.

every site needs moderation we cant just let people run rampant. I do have stong views on censorship, but there are lines that shouldnt be crossed. especially when there are Minors with access to the site. I think some of the old site should be kept. must be at least 14 to join. Photo albums need to be kept private until invite is given, and also a disclaimer if material is of a questionable subject matter..

Members have the option of keeping their albums private if they wish to do so, as well as their profiles.

Bolt Moderators,

I'm not really sure why 3 of my forum posts were deleted. All 3 were posted in the correct topics and they were informative. News: Radioactive Recycled Metal...Don't you want your members and even visitors to know about current information in the news section?

My posts were deleted and I'm assuming it was because they were articles, but posts like "I have something to show about Confedrate today" are okay? I'm confused, because I was a member of the original bolt.com and there were never any problems with my posts. I post informative articles to entice healthy conversation among members and topics for visitors to think about, but if you(the moderators) just want brain dead topics of "Do You Have Hair On Your Vagina" or "How Far Can You Stick Your Finger Up Your Nose?" then so be it.

Thank you for taking your free time to do what it is you do, but it would be nice if you came up with RULES for the Forums.
