Bolt Moderators... And Moderation

I need to figure out how much or how little moderating to do on this site. Certain things are out of my control, but others are really just based on the preferences of Bolt members. Weigh in on what kind of moderation should be done.. What is appropriate and what isn't appropriate? When should a member be banned from the site? What pic's, language, videos, topics, etc..., should or should not be permitted? Keep in mind, if there is any moderation at all, it is all going to be volunteer based! Not perfect... There is no money to do any better ;)

Are you talking about getting rid of the "sex" section and not allowing anything? Or just not allowing nude pics?

Thats dumb beguile. Harrassing individuals and deleting things you dont agree with is not moderation at all. It should be objective. I've talked to you before. And you throw yourself around in an obnoxius manner. Someone says somthing you disagree with and you threaten to ban them.

There is private chat, for discussions. People can mess around. Just try to keep it PG-13. Who cares if you disagree with what someone thinks. Quite a few people think you're a moron. Why dont you delete yourself.

Language... Not at all... anyone that's old enough to understand how to use this site knows "language" already

Videos... no nudity

Topics... I think any topic should be fair game... this site may have younger ppl on it but if they're answering and asking rated R or X posts... its not like its new to them.

With that said, what about the designer putting in a rating system so that we can rate our discussions and then people 17 and under can't view those discussions??? If your designers are non-existent I can see what I can do... I don't know much yet but i am going to school for web design & programming and would be willing to work on it as I learn.

I think Stan and slacker are right.

The last bolt got so nasty and dirty that I just stopped logging on all together. This isnt really the place for nude photos. There's email, aim, etc... Alot of other venues for those kinda things. Keep bolt clean. Alot of young people are on here and dont need to be subjected too that, plus... the last thing bolt needs is a minor posting pics and bolt being liable for child porn.
