I have this problem with my internet explorer. Whenever I have a window open, it'll sometimes decide to close itself out. This is mostly annoying when I have other windows open: when closing out one window will eliminate EVERY other browser window I have open.

I've lived with this problem for almost a year now but now it's pissing me off because it'll disrupt my process of applying for a 2nd job. I tried looking at Microsoft support but I could not find anything too helpful.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I've used this inquiry on bolt and facebook.... the first thing people always say is "why IE?". So that part has been rubbed in my face enough lol. The 'why' doesn't answer the 'how' though. A friend of mine suggested I use Google Chrome, which is an okay solution so far.
Google makes it's money from targeting ads based on one's internet activity.
Rather suspicious they created a Browser, don't you think?
Saying "switch browsers" is easy, but there are still websites out there that do not support Mozilla or any of the other browsers except IE and the worst part of it is they give you a lovely message saying "We only support Internet Explorer" and that is as far as you can get.
what version are you running?
not sure... (i'm the least computer savvy person i know) but it came with my pc. my OS is Windows Vista if that helps any. IE + Vista = problems?
it's late where i'm at or early? i'll look into it more tomorrow see if any one i know has had similar problems. i should have something to help or a useless smart reply by tomorrow.
IE could be doing this because of an issue on the website - perhaps the job application website is so full of bugs that it causes your IE to crash.
And are you using IE in Safe Mode or regular? And does your IE have any add-ons? Perhaps the add-ons are the problem.
Personally when I apply for jobs, I usually write my text into Notepad - that way you won't lose anything, then copy/paste it into the online application when it is required.
Or continue to save your e-application on the website, that way it is kept on the server instead of your computer - so you would be able to come back to it.
Another possibility is perhaps you need to re-install IE or get the latest Vista service pack/patch.
Start Internet Explorer without add-ons by right-clicking the IE icon on the desktop. Choose Start without add-ons. or from Start> Programs> Accessories> System tools> Internet Explorer (no add-ons)
If the problem goes away, you have an incompatible browser add-on installed.
one of many possibilities, but worth a try.
I will give this a try
